April 2009 What a great beach house! We love this place and will come back again. Thanks for letting us use it! March 2009 We had such a wonderful time! March 2009 These few days have been good to talk and think and read about the things of God. We have had respite from the hectic day to day bustle of life, and it has been good to sit back and breathe Gods creation in the area and what can be seen from the window has been wonderful. His creation reveals him. -Snohomish, WA March 2009 Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Very nice home and well equipped. -Lynden, WA February 2009 Once we got enough toilet paper we had no more worries. We had a splendid sister weekend and loved every minute of it plus a little extra. Thank you so much! January 2009 Parting is such sweet sorry. January 2009 Sequim is the best place to ring in the New Year. What a blast we had. Your house was perfect. We will be back again. Thank you. -Longview, WA December 2008 We had a wonderful stay at your Beach House. Beautiful views, cozy home. Thanks for sharing! -Emmett, ID December 2008 As a new transfer from Las Vegas, NV to Sequim (and therefore homeless) this was an extra special place to spend my first few weeks in Sequim. I would like to extend a warm and heart-felt thank you to the owner for graciously providing this generous accommodation. To future vacationers: I recommend the Dungeness Recreational Area and Marlyn Nelson Park for views and beach walks. Also, the Railroad Bridge Park section of the Olympic Discovery Trail is worth a visit. Enjoy this gift to you with respect as if it was your own home. The house is by far the most comfortable and well kept vacation home i have stayed in and i hope many more come to enjoy it as much as i did. Happy vacationing! November 2008 Thanks for making the place available. We've had a memorable Thanksgiving. We got more than half way to the Dungeness Lighthouse. We drove out to Cape Flattery and up to Hurricane Ridge. Cape Flattery is a long way - but worth it - not for the faint of stomach though. Had a great snow ball war up on the Ridge. The best part ?!? Just being together under one roof again - laughing a lot - talking a lot - loving each other. I sure do love my family. October 2008 A surprisingly sunny weekend with beautiful sunrises! Hiked Mt Zion, Hurricane Ridge, and off to the Dungeness Spit now before treating the little ones to some board games. Great beach house - thank you. The hot tub was a bonus! -Seattle, WA and England October 2008 Nice quiet spot. Took in the Port Angeles Crab Fest "Good Feast". Olympic Game farm was a cool experience. Dungeness Spit absolutely beautiful!! -North Delta, BC, Canada September 2008 Great weekend getaway spot, close to Victoria BC. House had all we needed. You have thought of everything. Very kid friendly 3 Crabs Restaurant good for seafood lovers and so close. Recommend Cedar Dungeness Golf Course. Get a feel for the area by driving the Dungeness Scenic Loop. For animal lover the Olympic Game Farm is interesting, the kids enjoyed it! We will be back to hike the Dungeness Spit, a beautiful area. August 2008 Mom took the family here for a surprise vacation and it was totally worth it. The sunsets were amazing the town is awesome and the sightseeing is incredible. El Cazador and Sawadee Thai Cuisine are very good. Fort Flagler was totally cool great beach coming nice sightseeing and go to the campgrounds they have a Spit you can go out to and a playground right there. At the house if you go out to the beach, locals say look under the seaweed when low tide and you will find your wildlife! August 2008 We four girls had a wonderful time! Shopping in Port Townsend was fun. The Indian Gallery has beautiful silver jewelry for a good price. This vacation home was one of the best we've had. The sunrises were awesome! There were also 3 seals swimming around in front of the house! The Old Mill Cafe was excellent and the Oak Table restaurant was too!! August 2008 We loved this quiet house. The cooler weather was a welcome break from our Ohio humidity and heat. We flew kites (the pirate ship was most dependable to launch), had ping pong and Monopoly tournaments, and enjoyed the hot tub with Strait views. An eagle was kind enough to land one morning on the house just down the way for photo opportunities, as well as many heron. We saw whales on a whale tour along with seals. Enjoyed the ferry to Victoria to see the Butterfly Garden and shopping, a trip to La Push and Marymere Falls, and shopping in Sequim. The Oak Table Cafe in Sequim was awesome for breakfast! The 3 Crabs Beach House gave us a great starting place for many good memories and relaxation (with a fantastic view 24/7). Thanks for a great week..., blessings to those who help keep up, clean, and share this home. West Milton, OH. August 2008 Today my daughter marries at the beautiful Cutting Garden. It rained heavily in the night but it will be sunny for the outdoor wedding!! This beach house is a great retreat and the jacuzzi a source of needed relaxation. July 2008 Had a wonderful time. Visited Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh, Elwah, Dungeness Spit. Marveled at the size of the flowers here in WA. Twice the size of ours in WI. Beautiful roadside wild sweet peas and all of the wild fox glove. Amazing! Ate seafood every night twice at 3 Crabs Restaurant. Hiked out to the tip at Cape Flattery, what a beautiful view. Visited La Push, Forks. Crossed the Straits and went to Buchart Gardens. We had a wonderful time, wish it wasn't so far away. Peace. Shorewood, WI. July 2008 We enjoyed very much the view. All of us were easily and comfortably asleep the past two nights. Thank you so much for letting us "borrow" this little quaint beach house. Oh my goodness the scenery and view were incredible! Seeing God's creations was amazing; and we didn't ever have to step outside! Thank you again. And at night we would see the moonlight shimmering on the water. We also had a wonderful time reuniting with family we haven't seen in years. They really liked this house too! Thanks a whole bunch! July 2008 The baby quails were hatched while we were here. How adorable! The view was amazing and the lavender was in full bloom for the festival! We enjoyed clamming and crabbing - what a wonderful place to relax! Harrisonburg, VA. July 2008 Fabulous house, fabulous beach, and we had a fabulous time!! Nobody wanted to leave and we're already planning our trip back! The Olympic Game Farm is a MUST DO. But take 2 or 3 loaves of bread, you'll go through is fast. Happy summer! June 2008 The window over the kitchen sink provides a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks. May 2008 Wonderful stay. Hope to return soon. Did not want to leave! April 2008 This place is great! So good for the soul to just relax. The view!! How i love it and the little bird trains that go by. Alderwood Bistro is soooo good! I hope to be back sometime soon. Hot tub is also just wonderful. April 2008 The beds were comfy, the hot was fabulous. Loved the fireplace. Eating dinner at Alderwood is a must. So enjoyed the views. A perfect getaway for a couple of days. -Bothell, WA. April 2008 The garage is full of neat kites to fly on the beach. We had fun trying to fly them all. These are the kites we flew: dragon, Nemo clown fish, pirate ship, red parrot, googly-eye with big mouth (my favorite), Navy Blue Angels jet (flew the best and was the easiest to start), shark, and stealth jet. Mom said we can come back here again. -Auburn, WA. April 2008 All of us had an amazing stay. My mom, dad and the kids, Molly & Gavin. The hot tub was excellent, but it rained yesterday. However it was an great Beach House and we would like to come back in the summer. Anyhow, it was awesome. -Spokane, WA. March 2008 Had a lovely stay! Walked the entire 5.5 miles (11 total) to the Dungeness Lighthouse in the rain!! Watched the storms roll in. Played lots of ping pong. Hope to be back! -Kirkland, WA. March 2008 Easter 2008. Hooray for Spring! We enjoyed out holiday at 3 Crabs. -Eureka, MT, and Duvall, WA, and Bellingham, WA. February 2008 Outstanding! -Bend, OR. February 2008 President's Day Weekend 2008. Calm weather and sun all weekend - what a gift! We were able to canoe out to the lighthouse from the Dungeness boat launch. Next day it was off to Hurricane Ridge to snowshoe among crystal peaks and brilliant blue skies. Remarkable! Each outing was that much more enjoyable knowing a hot tub and wonderful view awaited. A wonderful and relaxing weekend was had by all. -Olympia, WA. December - January 2008 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We enjoyed both here in Sequim with family and friends, one who just bought a vacation house just down the road on 3 Crabs. We had fun on the beach walking and watching sea birds. Great sunny weather except one storm which made huge waves which were fun to watch. Kids really had a blast playing ping pong in the garage and flying your kites on the beach. Thanks for letting us use your wonderful, cozy house. -Richland, WA. October - November 2007 What a lovely home and picture perfect front yard. We have so enjoyed just sitting and looking out at the Strait! Very peaceful and relaxing! Loved everything about our visit. The sea weed was a bit strong at the beginning of our visit but over the days here, we either got used to it or it went away. Thanks for the beautiful time here in Sequim. -Springfield, IL. September 2007 Wow! What an amazing place. We came at the end of September with the summer weather behind us but we still had a great time. This is the place to get away from it all. We will return next summer and stay longer. Our boys had so much fun they don't want to go home today. -Vancouver BC, Canada. September 2007 We had so much fun here there was kites that worked, smores, ping-pong. It was so great waking up in the morning and seeing the water. September 2007 It was so fun! We made a fort with logs on the beach, had smores, played ping-pong, and went out at low tide. My friends record in ping-pong was 302. I love your beds! I never want to leave! The top bunk was mine. September 2007 Thanks for the beautiful house! We have loved our stay, walking on the beach, watching the herons and seals, beautiful sunrises (early mornings with baby!), Hurricane Ridge, The Olympic Game Farm - watch out for Buffalo slobbers on the windows! A great place to relax with friends visiting from the UK. They get married one year from today - we will be back to celebrate! PS: Hurricane Ridge - well worth the drive. Olympic Game Farm - fantastic if you like close up and personal with large animals, make sure you take bread - lots!! -Edmonds, WA and Liverpool, UK. September 2007 The time goes by too fast! We had a very good time. -Prosser, WA and Bangkok, Thailand and Huron, SD and Kennewick, WA. September 2007 We love "Sequimming" and 3 Crabs Beach House! A lovely, well-appointed, clean, and beautifully "Decked" cottage. A perfect place to enjoy Dungeness Bay and kayaks, birds, and beach walking. -MI, WA, and CO. June - August 2007 Wow - what a summer! Clamming, crabbing, and then cooking - we even had a cockle chowder. Ten weeks not long enough and a lunar eclipse to top it all off.... We couldn't have had a better summer! We loved how you set up everything - a great home base for visiting Canada and the Olympic Peninsula. Great summer '07. -San Francisco, CA. June 2007 Dear goodness, where do I start? We truely couldn't have hoped for a better house and location. Out the front door and steps from the deck is the beach where our grand kids played all day. Splendid views of Mount Baker, passing ships, and all kinds of lovely water birds. Out the back door are great views of the snow covered Olympic Mountains. We love this cozy home and feel bonded with it. We absolutely enjoyed the low tides and wading through the tide pools discovering all the wonderous little sea creatures. I'm sure we doubled our shell collection. We really do not want to leave this little corner of paradise. -San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA. May 2007 A great time was had by all. The grandkids ages 2 and 4 spent all day on the beach collecting shells and building sand castles and flying kites. The kids from Seattle are already talking about coming back. We will be back also. Lots of fun speculating what was in the various freighters going in and out of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Binoculars are a must. -Navato, CA and Maple Valley, WA. April 2007 Loved the house - thank you so much for such a fabulous place to share with us! Hope to be back soon. -Seattle, WA. April 2007 What a lovely restful 5 days we have had here. Our 3 kids ages 9, 6 and 4 just loved running and playing on the beach. We loved the big kitchen where even if I or my husband was cooking we never got in each others way. Surprisingly we spent more time at the house than sightseeing as our 2 boys just wanted to be digging in the sand. We did see the Olympic Game Farm and we loved that, but as soon as that was over they were nagging to get back here. We hope we can make another trip out next year. -Marysville, WA. April 2007 We had a great time here. Very comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the views, the.... It was a great long weekend getaway with our kids. March 2007 We are having a second child in May and wanted a great place to spend with our four year old before the baby comes. We are so pleased! We are planning on spending today building a fort on the beach, playing games, and sitting in the hot tub. We really needed this getaway having opened a restaurant on Whidbey Island, in Langley, 8 months ago - my husband and daughter have not spent 2 solid, uninterrupted days together in over a year. Thanks for the great place!!! -Langley, WA. Come see us on Whidbey! Prima Bistro March 2007 Great view! Very nice place! -Poulsbo, WA. March 2007 Very relaxing weekend. Weather was cooperative for the time of year. 3 Crabs was great, ate too much as usual. Hope to come back soon. -Puyallup, WA. February 2007 Had a great weekend on annual family retreat. Enjoyed hot tub and sunny weather a great deal. Treated ourselves to fresh crab and shrimp... mmmmm. Great beach cottage, we'll be back. December 2006 Spent 3 nights here - just myself and my 12 year old son. We loved the time away. We headed over to the wildlife refuge and down at Dungeness Spit - so much fun! We saw deer up close and personal!! The hot tub was great, listening to the waves and just letting your cares float away. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a wind storm last night so that was rather exciting. I want to come back in the summer with my whole family. Thank you so much. -Seattle, WA. November 2006 The four of us had a wonderful time. It was calm and sunny when we first arrived and turned windy and stormy before we left. So we enjoyed a bit of it all! We especially loved the hot tub and watching the seagulls try to fly in the wind. Hope to come back again. -Edmonds and Lynnwood, WA. September 2006 Awesome place! Rented 5 houses for a corporate retreate - bunch of high performance sales, operations team, and executive team. Just what the doctor ordered! August 2006 Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us. We're in town for a wedding at the "Cutting Gardens". What a beautiful property this is! Hopefully we'll be able to return, and will definitely refer our family and friends to you. -Seattle and Tacoma, WA. August 2006 What a shame we missed the first two days of our holiday! We really enjoyed staying in your house and the Pacific Northwest. -Staffordshire, England August 2006 A terrific site for an action packed week. Our kids - 11,10, and 9 could have played on the beach all day. Their observant parents also noticed river otters and seals. Mornings are perfect for gathering snails in the next lot over - if your kids enjoy that sort of thing. The house was immaculate when we arrived. We were pleased with all the books, games, and especially the ping pong table in the garage. The house is laid out so that we didn't feel packed in - even times we were all being lazy. We found plenty to do away from headquarters. Day trips to Hurricane Ridge and Port Townsend were fun - plan on the full day though. Hiking and shopping take a lot out of the body. We put in our boat at John Wayne Marina. Unfortunately, no crab to be had the days we went out, but enjoyed the view immensely. Other fun outings were the Audubon Nature Center, down town Sequim, the Olympic Game Farm, and Graymarsh Berry Farm. This house was super, but being with family and friends is what makes the times even more well spent. August 2006 We had a great stay. We loved the thoughtful layout of the house, the information book and all the conveniences. The house was great for kids, adults, and grandparents alike. -NC, VT, NY, and OR Our Bird List: Rhinoceros Auklet, Spotted Sandpiper, Western Sandpiper, Bald Eagle, House Finch, New Gull, Eurasian Starling, Red-necked Grebe, Double-crested Cormorant, Surf Scoter, Brewer's Blackbird, Violet-green Swallow, Red-tailed Hawk, California Gull, Whimbrel, Cedar Waxwing, Turkey Vulture, Pine Siskin, House Sparrow, Purple Martin, Pigeon Guillemot, Kill Deer, Least Sandpiper, Northern Harrier, Glaucous-winged Gull, Barn Swallow, Belted Kingfisher, Great Blue Heron, Pelagic Cormorant, Common Merganser, Red-winged Blackbird, Mourning Dove, American Dove, California Quail, Semipalmated Plover, Western Gull, Northern Flicker, Black-capped Chickadee, Canada Goose, Black-bellied Plover, Common Nighthawk, Gadwall, Horned Grebe, Caspian Tern, American Goldfinch, Northwestern Crow, Cooper's Hawk, Northern Shoveler, Dowitcher, Mallard, Rock Pigeon, Rufous Hummingbird, Common Raven, White-winged Scoter. We had a short walk on the Dungeness Spit (our 2 year old thought it was too stinky) and spent a lovely morning at Jardin du Solice lavender farm. The lavender is so beautiful and made a lovely center piece. We wished we'd had binoculars for seal watching, but other than that found the accommodations great! We are looking forward to returning someday soon. -Olympia, WA. July 2006 The minute we walked in we knew this house was perfect for all 6 of us. We've been here for 5 days but it seems like no time at all. We've walked up and down the beach, traveled to Port Townsend and Port Angeles (both very lovely places) and we did a little shopping around Sequim. We all have enjoyed the stay here and are sorry to leave. The view, the setting, and not to mention the hot tub, are unforgettable. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. -Montana, Oregon, Wyoming, South Carolina. June 2006 We had a wonderful stay here. We brought along Grandma and also met some cousins from Wisconsin for a relaxing and enjoyable time. June 13 was the year's lowest tide -3 ft in Dungeness Bay and we must have walked out on the tidelands half a mile. Kids loved wandering through the tide pools looking at clams, small fish, crabs, snails, and even a small halibut - thanks for providing the mud boots and clamming shovels! We paddled in our kayak every afternoon either down to the Dungeness River or to Sequim Bay. We had great weather all week long. Last night we saw a sea otter right out in front of the house about 10 feet from shore - he didn't seem afraid of us at all. The kids had a great time flying kites and building drift wood forts on the beach. We even got in some Sequim yard sales on Friday and Saturday morning. Hot tubbing during the full moon was great. This place is simply beautiful and we can't wait to come back again. -Everett, WA. May 2006 We'll be back! This house is perfect for us two families with kids that love the beach. We enjoyed our time to relax and take in the beautiful view! -Mill Creek, WA and Puyallup, WA. May 2006 The person or persons who did the remodel of the kitchen did a wonderful job. What a difference. Charming and terrific to cook and eat in. -Sacramento, CA. May 2006 We came from Bremerton, Twisp, Butte Montana, Rancho Cordova, CA, and two from Spanaway for our annual mother's day gathering. Mom and her girls go away for this special weekend every year to count and celebrate our many blessings. Two of us went to the Olympic Game Farm - it was great, we laughed and gawked there for hours. Two went to the Dungeness Spit and had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the beach, the house and hot tub - slept like babies. The weather was fabulous and the sun shined on us like the blessings of the Lord which light our every days. April 2006 What can we say? This weekend was awesome - God's beautiful world out the three grand picture windows. We took tours to most everything and enjoyed this fabulous house. It was well stocked with all you could need. Hiked Dungeness Spit (need to come back to make it to the lighthouse next time). Explored tide pools at Salt Creek, did the Elwha River hike to Humes Ranch via Goblin Gate, fixed several fantastic dinners, played cards, watched funny DVDs, played ping pong, hot tub under the Big Dipper and shooting stars, watched a submarine travel by, walked up to the local grocery (she is open from ~ 8-8), found Olympic Ice Cream in Sequim, dreamed about growing lavender and organic vegetables in Sequim, read a lot, contemplated, walked the beach, took out the boat, rode a bike, started a list of birds and took some wonderful photos, hiked a 4 mile trail at Heart of the Hills through old growth until too many down trees blocked the trail, recharged our sleep batteries, explored Port Townsend, shopped in Port Angeles, looked out at the view (alot) - a vast vista indeed, enjoyed the fireplace, saw Mt Baker, jogged the quiet roads, and plan to ski at Hurricane Ridge today. A lovely house, hope to come back soon, hard to leave.... -Olympia, WA. March 2006 Thank you so much for the hospitality. We really enjoyed. March 2006 Thank you so much for making your wonderful home available for us! We have loved it! From the gorgeous sunrises which paint a different landscape every 5 minutes to "hot tubbing" under the stars, it has been great! The walks on the beach.... The hike on the "spit".... We want to move here! -Windsor, CA. February 2006 What an amazing place!!! We threw a bridal shower/girls weekend here and it could not have been better!
